As a member of the Student Athlete Advising Committee (SAAC) I am able to contribute my opinion with regards to topics such as improving the campus image of student athletes, community service work, and promotion of varsity sports. As a group we plan fundraising events and we require community service be performed by all teams. As a result, I have participated in events such as the Breast Cancer Walk and the Tunnel to Towers Run.

     The events that we organize require leadership and motivation. As part of this committee I have been forced to improve skills such as communication, organizing, and marketing.

     I served as the secretary of SAAC during my junior year, and will continue in this position during my senior year.
