In the move Death in Venice Gustav von Aschenbach, a composers, travels to Venice on a vacation in a hope that he can releave all of the many pressures he sufferes from having a demanding career. While on the trip he see a young pre teen boy named Tadzio and begins to find himself infattuated with him. I believe he found himself attracted to Tadzio because Aschenbach has found so much greif in life. I believe that Tadzio, representing beauty and innocence supplied him beauty that he couldnt recieve from his own life. Furthermore, finding this attraction to Tadzio, he found disgust in himself. Subconciously I believe his attraction to Tadzio also allowed him to find beauty in himself.
