Says: "Wonderful entry, Kori. It is critical to provide students with writing invitations that encompass both functional and compositional writing. I love your analysis of Owoki and F&P given their overlapping but different frameworks. I also love the images you've found. It is so important that young children play and get messy as your photos indicate so that the tactile experience translates into motor memory. It's also critical to support students to know what they can write about based on what writers really do! Teachers of young children often leave this out of instruction and then wonder why children write the same thing every day or stare at blank pages. We create invitations but we also make decisions about when to guide. Lovely work. 12/12"
