Doing  a Sustainability Action Project was something that I was looking forward to because it was a way to get our ideas out there based on what we were discussing. Working with my group was great. Right in the beginning we established that all we had the same idea and we all wanted to work on the same thing which was Better Food Systems. Collaborating with my group was simple because we agreed on most ideas. Everyone provided ideas regarding what we should include in our eportfolios and what our creative extension or social media for social change aspect should be. The contribution seemed to be equal because we all have different strengths so together we were able to make our project great. It was that that I found more interesting. When I reflect now, I realized that everyone did different things, not just because they chose it but because those were our individual strengths. Aside from this, I learned a lot about our sustainability action project and the cafeteria in general. Getting research from the company and chef as well as reactions from students was something that provided us with both sides of the spectrum rather than just looking at the students perspective about the cafeteria. Although working together overall proved to be successful, that still did not stop the trials that we endured from arising but I feel like anytime you're working with a group, issues are always going to occur. Obviously we aren't all the same people and we react differently to different things which causes differing opinions. Differing opinions is not bad, but when working with a group it has to be learned how to deal with that in the right way because that can cause issues. Although it briefly caused a minor set back we were able to realize our mistakes and get back on track to the main idea of our project which is promoting sustainability through our social message. We were able to move forward stronger than before and make our project work for the better.

Our project was something that I took a lot away from. I learned a lot and it was something that we were all passionate about as well. We were able to learn more about organic food and waste management which were the two main ideas of the project. My favorite part of the project was coming up with the list of proposals. We all collaborated and made a list of the changes we want and how we would go about in doing so. The great thing is that these changes weren't changes that were too extreme that would never be done but on the contrary, they were changes that are completely doable which is why we enjoyed coming up with the project so much.

I think our project came out great. Besides the minor set back with the music on the Mockumentary, I thought it came out to be a great video with a great message which is the whole point. Aside from this, if I could change anything, I would give us more time only to try to start implementing some of the changes we came up with. Since like I mentioned,  a lot of the changes are doable, it would have been great if as a team we were able to go ahead and do them but since we did not do that we proposed the means in which we would constitute the change if we could which is something I know I will continue with the years to come as well as the members in my group and class.
