Education and its advancement, particularly in girls in underdeveloped regions of the world is a topic which is very near and dear to my heart. As my mother taught mostly as an elementary school teacher for over 25 years, I was raised to value education and I have seen firsthand how drastically it can improve one's quality of lifestyle. According to research conducted by the UN, there is a direct causal relationship between education and the poverty index. This is not surprising as the least developed regions in the world also suffer from the worst education support systems.

In many such regions, girls' education suffers more than boys due to deeply rooted gender inequalities. Since, girls form a large part of the population, this means that about half of the population is left behind and stuck in the cycle of illiteracy which indirectly leads to poverty.
