Aristotle is said to have stated, "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all."  This core belief on the value and purpose of education is threaded throughout the pages of my professional eportfolio as I submit it for tenure and promotion to Associate Professor at Manhattanville College. The sections represent the variety of courses I teach that prepare teacher candidates to be highly effective literacy leaders and classroom teachers. These pages further represent my areas of research, particularly my work on the power of stories to drive teaching and learning and how my research influences my teaching. In addition, these pages demonstrate the myriad of ways that I have contributed to campus life at Manhattanville College as well as to my field of study since I began at Manhattanville in the Fall of 2010.

The first tab contains a summary of information from across the sections for ease of viewing. The next tab contains my current curriculum vitae, which provides an overview of my professional accomplishments. The following sections have been created in preparation for my review according to the college's criteria: Teaching, Scholarship, Service, and Professional Development. Each section begins with an overview and includes supporting data and documents.

While the portfolio is organized into discrete sections, the process of reflecting upon and refining my thoughts across these sections has reinforced for me the ways in which my teaching, scholarship, service, and professional development inform one another.

Thank you for your time and consideration in reviewing my work from the past few years with consideration for my goals for the future.
