Over the past 35 years I have photographed over 10,000 objects for museums, historic homes, artists and private collectors. I began to photograph art works using a 4x5 view camera, and switched to a shooting with a high end DSLR about 9 years ago.

There is a unique knowledge that comes from the one to one dialogue with a work of art while photographing it. The ability to hold a piece of Roman sculpture, place it on a table, rotate it, light it as I see fit is an experience unlike any visit to a museum. I have one of the best jobs in the world;  I get paid to seriously look at artwork!

Major clients include The Neuberger Museum of Art at Purchase College,
The Merrill C. Berman Collection and Historic Hudson Valley. Other clients include The Museum of Modern Art, The Victoria Albert Museum, Art in America, The Andy Warhol Foundation, The Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum and Van Neus Publishing.

Work for these institutions includes photographs published in books, museum catalogs, posters, note cards and websites.
