One of the greatest challenges for me, as a teacher, is leading my students to think more deeply and critically.  My teaching style, however, is still too rooted in lecture—the model presented to me when I was a graduate student.  Slowly but surely, I am moving away from lecture, though not nearly as fast as I’d like!  I still fear I won’t “cover the material.”  My hope is that ePortfolio will help me find new strategies by means of which I will engage students in process and deeper learning, rather than just memorizing information.
