In the Fall 2012 semester, my Accounting II teacher asked me to be the Supplemental Instructor (SI) for her Spring 2013 classes. I was excited to take on the challenge and I attended a mandatory SI training class through the Academic Resource Center (ARC). I met with the teacher and attended her weekly accounting classes. I took notes in class in order to prepare students for exams. I constantly updated myself on the chapters from the last class as well as material for tests. Working closely with the Accounting II teacher, I made SI sheets and planned my sessions around test material and major chapter points. I answered questions, reviewed chapters, prepared a study plan and went over problems from the assigned textbook.
