Welcome to my e-Portfolio
My name is Gabriella Barnes and I am a student at Manhattanville College. I am a finance major with a minor in museum studies and art studio. I live on Long Island and I plan to work as a personal advisor, investor and manager. Museums for me have always been one of my passions. After graduating from Manhattanville College I plan to work at a finance company as a financial advisor and volunteer at local museums near my house. Although, these are my career goals, my goal in life is to be a mother. One day when I am successful enough, and can afford a stable and loving home, I want to have kids. Working as a personal analyst would be great because the job can be accomplished from the home. I plan to take my kids on many museums visits and give them the best I can offer. Currently I am unsure if I will continue with accounting in graduate school but I am looking to attend classes for marketing and finance. My ideal time for attending graduate school is around mid twenties.
Here at Manhattanville College, I work very hard and keep busy with many events on campus. As an active member of the Women's soccer team, Student Government Association (SGA), Duchesne Center and the ARC, I am constantly running around campus. Some of my responsibilities include tutoring Accounting I and II, organizing club budgets for the Vice President of Finance for SGA and planning art programs to teach under privilege children how to express themselves through art. My sport also consumes large portions of my day for working out, practices and recruiting tours around campus.
I enjoy painting and frequently enjoy painting landscapes on weekends. I am a Castle Scholar who is also determined to get Department Honors in Finance and graduate with a GPA of a 3.8 or 3.9. Unlike most students, I will also be graduating early because of my commitment, dedication and a hard work ethic I have instilled onto myself at an early age. Just by taking a glance at my E-Portfolio, I am confident you will find impressive internships and coursework. I have always pushed myself and I don't plan on quitting anytime soon.
