In 2013, building on the success of Manhattanville College's Ed.D. in educational leadership, the Doctoral Core Faculty, with support from School of Education and approval from the Manhattanville College President and Provost, added an innovative program track for advanced doctoral students: The Executive Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. The inaugural cohort started in January 2014.
This Dissertation Completion Pathway is designed for advanced doctoral students in education leadership (or related field) who have completed coursework requirements at an accredited university but not the dissertation. This status is often referred to as being "ABD" (All But Dissertation). Students admitted to this accelerated Ed.D. pathway may transfer into Manhattanville as many as 39 post-masters semester credits toward the 59 credit requirement and complete the degree within two academic years or less.
Effective May 1, 2018 the Executive Ed.D. pathway will become an individualized program of studies with a rolling admissions process. If offered admission and upon receipt of a $250 non-refundable tuition deposit, the admitted student may choose to commence studies in either the fall, spring or summer academic terms. Once these studies commence, the student has four (4) years (or 48 months) to compleete the degree.
