How to download the Manhattanville Portfolio template:

You may have already created an ePortfolio using the Manhattanville Portfolio Template.  If so, you do not need to create another one. If you have not already created your Manhattanville Portfolio System ePortfolio please use the following instructions:

Login in to your Digication account: https://mville.digication.com

First, click on the green "Create" button on the Home page, found on the right-hand side. The first thing you will be prompted to do is provide a name for the ePortfolio. As a rule, all ePortfolios should include your FULL name. Under the Template section, choose the Manhattanville Portfolio System Template.  To confirm that you have selected this template, be sure that the title of the template is bolded.

Permissions and Privacy Settings for your Manhattanville Portfolio

For your Manhattanville Portfolio ePortfolio, you need to make sure that certain people have access to your eP.  Initially, set your ePortfolio to "Private to Me."

Then, click on “Custom permissions” on the right hand side of the page.  Then type in the names of:

  • The Chairperson of your major department(s)
  • The Chairperson of your minor department(s)
  • The name of your advisor

When the account pops up, add each of these people as “viewers” of your ePortfolio. This will allow each of these people to view your portfolio and approve the appropriate sections.

Click on Do not allow tags.

Show Comments:

It is your choice which of the following options you choose:

  • Show Comments immediately (this option will display all comments from Chairpersons and Advisor immendiately and will mean that you do not need to later "Approve" the comments)
  • Do not show Comments until they have been approved (this option gives you more control over which comments are visible to the Board on Academic Standards, but will require you to "Approve" comments in order for approvals to be visible.)
