Copy a Test Between Two Courses

 

These instructions assume that you are moving an existing test. If you need a refresher, feel free to check out Creating a Test.

 

 

  1. Open the Course Tools drop-down on the bottom-left hand side of the page.
  2. Near the bottom, click the link: Test, Surveys and Pools.
  3. You should see a page with three links, click on Tests. You should see a list of all tests in your course.
     
  4. To the right of each tests' name, click the grey chevron, and select Export to Content Collection.

  5. On the Export to Content Collection page, click Browse.
  6. Click the "Up one level" button at the upper-left of the screen. There, you should see a list of available courses.
  7. Select the radio button to the left of the desired course.
  8. Click Submit.
  9. To the left of the Browse button, you should now see the desired course's address. Click Submit.

  10. Use the My Courses tab to navigate to the destination course.
  11. Repeat steps 1-3 on the destination course page.
  12. Click on Import Test.
  13. Click on Browse Content Collection.
  14. Click the radio button of the folder (it will be near the end of the list, use the arrow buttons at bottom right to navigate) whose name ends Your_Test_Name.zip.

     
  15. Click Submit.
  16. Click Submit again.
  17. You should see a message like this: (Blacked out fields are date stamps)
  18. Click on Ok.
  19. Navigate to the content area where you wish to place the test, hover over the Assessments dropdown, and click Test.
  20. On the Add an Existing Test menu, you should see your imported test. Select it and click Submit.

  21. Perform any edits you wish to make to the test and click Submit again.

You should now see the test in the target content area.
