Copy a Test Between Two Courses
These instructions assume that you are moving an existing test. If you need a refresher, feel free to check out Creating a Test.
- Open the Course Tools drop-down on the bottom-left hand side of the page.
- Near the bottom, click the link: Test, Surveys and Pools.
- You should see a page with three links, click on Tests. You should see a list of all tests in your course.
- To the right of each tests' name, click the grey chevron, and select Export to Content Collection.
- On the Export to Content Collection page, click Browse.
- Click the "Up one level" button at the upper-left of the screen. There, you should see a list of available courses.
- Select the radio button to the left of the desired course.
- Click Submit.
- To the left of the Browse button, you should now see the desired course's address. Click Submit.
- Use the My Courses tab to navigate to the destination course.
- Repeat steps 1-3 on the destination course page.
- Click on Import Test.
- Click on Browse Content Collection.
- Click the radio button of the folder (it will be near the end of the list, use the arrow buttons at bottom right to navigate) whose name ends Your_Test_Name.zip.
- Click Submit.
- Click Submit again.
- You should see a message like this: (Blacked out fields are date stamps)
- Click on Ok.
- Navigate to the content area where you wish to place the test, hover over the Assessments dropdown, and click Test.
- On the Add an Existing Test menu, you should see your imported test. Select it and click Submit.
- Perform any edits you wish to make to the test and click Submit again.
You should now see the test in the target content area.
