Creating an edTPA Account, and Registering for edTPA

 



The first step in getting started with edTPA is to visit edTPA.com, and creating an account.  It is to this account that you will submit your materials from Digication.  

To register for an account;

  1. Visit edTPA.com.

  2. Click, My Account in the top right corner.

  3. On the next page, click, Create an Account now.

  4. Enter and confirm your personal information.

  5. Select Register on the top right corner.

  6. On the next page, choose, Integrated edTPA Platform Provider System.  Digication is one such provider.  This lets the system know that you'll be uploading your materials into Digication, then later uploading them from there.  

  7. Click, Register Now.

  8. Enter and confirm your Required Candidate Information; social security number, date of birth, and gender.  

  9. Confirm that you have reviewed the Required Candidate Information, then click Submit.  

  10. Identity Confirmation: Confirm you are the person registering.  

  11. Assessment Selection:
     - Step 1: Select, New York.  
     - Step 2: Select your certification area from the drop down box.  

    Click, Add, to enter additional certification areas.  

    Click, Next.  

  12. Answer the next few pages of background questions.  

  13. Confirm the information you have entered is correct, then click, Add to Cart.  
  14. Click, Check Out, and review the edTPA Rules of Assessment Participation.  Click, Next.  

  15. Review your total, as well as the Withdrawl/Refund Policy, and confirm that you have done so.  

  16. Enter your credit card information, and click, Next.  

  17. Upon paying, you will recieve your official validation code.
