Sweet and Sour Meatballs can be made in a Crock Pot or on the stove



Preparation Time: 30 mins. on stovetop


You will need:

2 pounds of frozen beef meatballs OR 2 pounds of ground beef mixed with one egg

1 12 oz. bottle of chili sauce (I've used both Heinz and Asian Chili Sauce)

1 12 oz. jar of grape jelly

Juice of 2 lemons

1 medium onion (or two shallots) finely chopped

salt and pepper to taste


Combine all ingredients except meatballs in saucepan or crock pot.  Add meatballs and simmer until cooked through (about 20 minutes on stovetop). These are great for meatball sandwiches or served with a pasta dish like macaroni and cheese. They can also be speared on toothpicks for an appetizer.
